On a sunny, summer Monday afternoon our precious firstborn daughter, Annika Beth Heeringa was born still into this world. Annika was over 36 weeks along into her journey, and weighed 6 lbs and was 20 inches long. Annika was born with the perfect body, head of hair, and a baby face with perfect, tiny, girly features. She was more beautiful than we could have ever dreamed. Her daddy and myself spent 9 hours with her here on earth and will never forget or take for granted that time. We love Annika with a love that is indescribable and realize there is nothing more precious than our firstborn child. We are having a tough time leaving her in God's hands... but we're trying. With love, grace, and peace to anyone who understands all too well.
